Timings

Timings:Thursday to Monday: 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Tuesdays: 10.00 a.m. to 1.30p.m. Closed: Wednesdays and University holidays.

The museum operates as a reserve collection of more than 19000 articles. There are no exhibition rooms as yet. The holdings can be documented for purposes of research and publication. The collection includes pattachitras, kantha embroidered textiles, masks, woven and embroidered textiles, leather puppets, pottery, temple terracottas and folk toys apart from Rajput and Mughal miniatures, originals by Rabindranath, Abanindranath, Gaganendranath, Nandalal, Binodbehari, Ramkinker, Terracotta of Bengal, folk bronzes, kalighat pata, Chinese, Japanese scroll paintings, original tracings of Ajanta and Bagh, Cochin, Mughals, etc. The museum has library facilities.
