The Pan Himalayan Grassroot Development Foundation is a voluntary organisation involved with the initiation of holistic mountain development in the Kumaon Himalayas.

The outreach programme has been spearheading grassroot activities to address critical issues such as drinking water, forestry, alternate energy, optimal landuse, sanitation, building materials and micro enterprises.

Innovative ideas and actions are being promoted through village level groups for the swift spread of appropriate technology applications to improve the quality of life, here and now.

The primary aim of Grassroots is to initiate people's action at the grassroots for restoration of languishing watersheds.

Working with the local population on hand crafted solid wood furniture.
